There are other reunion events planned on both Friday and Saturday. We are celebrating together with Richfield Class of 1971 who could not have their reunion in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID. Some events are for both classes, and others just for RHS 70. SCHEDULE BELOW:
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Marriott in case you want a room at the same hotel as the reunion is held. Reserve your room early.

Open for visits 8:30 AM-5:00 PM - No naturalist available because of Urban Wildland Race
· 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM the Urban Wildland Race - race packet pick up will be at the band shell located at Veteran’s Park on 66th Street and Portland Ave. Register here before July 16: https://www.richfieldmn.gov/.../urban_wildland.../index.php You can also volunteer. Details follow this schedule.
· 8:30 AM Golf Scramble at Dwan Golf Course 3301 W 110th St., Bloomington, MN 55431

· 4-7 PM: Richfield History Center Tour – If you enjoy the photos that are posted at the Facebook Group “I Grew Up In Richfield”, then you will enjoy this event since this is where those photos come from. Joint event with RHS71. Location: 6901 Lyndale Ave. S., Richfield MN.
· 7-10 PM: Richfield High School Reception – Displays, tour of the remodeled high school, teachers, snacks & beverages. Joint event with RHS71. Location: 7001 Harriet Ave, Richfield MN.
SATURDAY, JULY 30

· 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM Breakfast at Richfield VFW Post 5555 at 6715 Lake Shore Dr. S. Cost: $12.95 plus tax. A great opportunity to meet up with classmates!
· 10 AM -2 PM: RHS Car Show – Any RHS graduate may bring their “special” vehicle to the show so spread the word. There is no charge to attend. A cash bar and a tent for socializing will be available. Prizes will be awarded for first through third place. Preregistration is required. Contact Dean Ekegren to register your vehicle at 612-749-1310 or dekegren@gmail.com. Location: Secured parking area on the west side of the Marriott Airport Bloomington Hotel (follow signs).
· 10 AM – 3:00 PM: Small Group Meet-ups – These mini-reunions are for participants of RHS activities and clubs, or the option to create some “current” interest groups for us to enjoy in our retirement years.

THE MAIN EVENT:
Party – Location: Marriott Airport Bloomington Hotel Ballroom.
o 5-6 PM – Check-in and socialize. Cash Bar. Joint event with RHS71.
o 6-7 PM – Dinner. RHS70 only.
o 7-8 PM – Program, Elementary School Meet-up with photo at each school. RHS70 only.
o 8-12 PM –Live music and dancing in RHS70’s ballroom, Socializing (no music) in RHS71’s ballroom. Joint event with RHS71. The hotel courtyard is also available to us.
• Midnight and beyond: Afterparty –For those who want to extend the night. Location: Marriott Airport Bloomington Hospitality Room, a conference room on the main floor.
You don't need to adjust your bifocals. We chose to push our reunion back two years because of COVID so we will be celebrating our 52nd Reunion instead of our 50th.

Golf Scramble Details:
Ok golfers (of all levels), sign up now for a fun morning of social golfing with your Richfield '70 & '71 classmates on Friday, July 29th as part of the Reunion weekend!
It's a golf scramble, no need to worry about an "occasional" muffed shot!
Dwan Golf Course (3301 W 110th St., Bloomington, MN 55431) has a fun, par-3/4, 9-hole golf course so lots of time to visit.
Plan to meet at 8:30 a.m.
Cost is $25. Additional rental fees at the Course for golf clubs ($15), pull carts ($4) and power carts ($13).
Prizes awarded too!
If you have a spouse, friend or foursome to golf with, please indicate names on registration form. (link below)
Otherwise, you will be assigned a tee time with other players.

All RHS Car Show Details
Saturday, July 30, 2022 - 10:00 am
Marriott Airport Bloomington Hotel, 2020 American Blvd, Bloomington (next to Ikea store)
No Charge for cars or spectators, 10 AM to 2 PM, vehicle check in commences at 9:30
Vehicles owned by any Richfield High School graduate (1954-2022) are welcome. Please invite all of your Richfield friends with COOL cars!
Collector cars and trucks 1980 and older are invited, along with ALL YEARS of muscle, sports, and high performance cars. Especially welcome are those cool cars we saw in the RHS parking lot back in the day!

Advanced registration is required due to limited number of spaces. This is a Rain or Shine event.
Signs will direct you to the west parking lot where we will have space reserved for the vehicles and a tent for socializing.
A cash bar will be provided. No alcoholic beverages may be brought on site.
Prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third places at 2 PM.

Joint event with RHS70. Location: Go to the Car Show Tent and meet at the colorful sign at the designated time.
Volunteer Job Descriptions for the Urban Wildland Race
Race Packet Pick-up: volunteers will hand out runner packets and t-shirts the Friday before the race. This will begin at 8:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Richfield Ice Arena. Plan on a 2 – 3 hour shift.
Packet Pick-up on race day: adult volunteers will check in participants and hand out race packets, timing chips and numbers. Packet pick-up begins at 5:45 am. Volunteers can also work the finish line once all entrants have received packets.
Parking Lot Attendants: volunteers assist runners with parking at American Legion carpool lot and Veteran’s Park main lot. Direct runners to on-street parking when lot is full and assist them crossing 66th street. Begins at 5:30 am, when done these folks may move to finish area after 7:00 am.
Course marshals: adult volunteers with cell phones are stationed at strategic locations along course route to guide and monitor runners. Must arrive at station between 6:45 – 7:30 am depending on location.
Finish line: volunteers assist runners as they finish, handing out finisher medals and directing them to the food and beverage lines, rest rooms or medical attention, or hand out t-shirts, monitor trash, compost and recycling bins. Will clean up area after the race. Begins at 7:00 am.
Beverage line: volunteers fill cups with water and powerade and keep tables stocked for finished 5K and half marathon runners. Begins at 7:00 am.
Food line: volunteers keep food line stocked for the 5K finishers, half marathon finishers and volunteers that have been out on the course. Begins at 6:00 am.
SPECTATORS!: volunteers cheer on runners and show support for this event! We need spectators all along the course route, so find a spot near your home or school and cheer on the runners! We especially need people along 70th Street.
